    Praise songs: 378 AMAZING GRACE

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me!

I once was lost, but now am found, Was blind, but now I see.

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved. How precious did that grace appear, The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come.

'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promised good to me, His word my hope secures.

He will my shield and portion be, As long as life endures.

Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail, And mortal life shall cease.

I shall possess within the veil, A life of joy and peace.

When we've been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun.

We've no less days to sing God's praise, Than when we'd first begun.

    Invocation:

Offering: Galatians 5:13 “For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.”

Offering Application: Today, we give because we are free—free in Christ, free by grace, and free because others sacrificed. May our offering be an act of love that honors God and blesses others.

    Offering Prayer:

Psalms: 23 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name's sake.

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff—they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD my whole life long.

Hymn of Centering: 575  ONWARD, CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS

    1. Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before. Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe; forward into battle see his banners go! Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before.

    2. At the sign of triumph Satan's host doth flee; on then, Christian soldiers, on to victory! Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise; brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise. Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before.

    3. Like a mighty army moves the church of God; brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod. We are not divided, all one body we, one in hope and doctrine, one in charity. Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before.

    4. Crowns and thrones my perish, kingdoms rise and wane, but the church of Jesus constant will remain. Gates of hell can never gainst that church prevail; we have Christ's own promise, and that cannot fail. Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before.

    5. Onward then, ye people, join our happy throng, blend with ours your voices in the triumph song. Glory, laud, and honor unto Christ the King, this through countless ages men and angels sing. Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before.

Scripture: Please stand for the reading from the New Testament

Act 2:1  When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place.

Act 2:2  And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.

Act 2:3  Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them.

Act 2:4  All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability.

Act 2:5  Now there were devout Jews from every nation under heaven living in Jerusalem.

Act 2:6  And at this sound the crowd gathered and was bewildered, because each one heard them speaking in the native language of each.

Act 2:7  Amazed and astonished, they asked, "Are not all these who are speaking Galileans?

Act 2:8  And how is it that we hear, each of us, in our own native language?

Act 2:9  Parthians, Medes, Elamites, and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,

Act 2:10  Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,

Act 2:11  Cretans and Arabs—in our own languages we hear them speaking about God's deeds of power."

Act 2:12  All were amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, "What does this mean?"

Act 2:13  But others sneered and said, "They are filled with new wine."

    Peter's Sermon at Pentecost

Act 2:14  But Peter, standing with the eleven, raised his voice and addressed them, "Men of Judea and all who live in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and listen to what I say.

Act 2:15  Indeed, these are not drunk, as you suppose, for it is only nine o'clock in the morning.

Act 2:16  No, this is what was spoken through the prophet Joel:

Act 2:17  'In the last days it will be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.

Act 2:18  Even upon my slaves, both men and women, in those days I will pour out my Spirit; and they shall prophesy.

Act 2:19  And I will show portents in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and smoky mist.

Act 2:20  The sun shall be turned to darkness and the moon to blood, before the coming of the Lord's great and glorious day.

Act 2:21  Then everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.'

Sermon: Live Your Freedom   -   Pastor Craig

    Communion:

Lords prayer: Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, For ever and ever,    Amen

Hymn of Sending: 697  AMERICA (MY COUNTRY,' TIS OF THEE))

    1. My country,' tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing; land where my fathers died, land of the pilgrims' pride, from every mountainside let freedom ring!

    2. My native country, thee, land of the noble free, thy name I love; I love thy rocks and rills, thy woods and templed hills; my heart with rapture thrills, like that above.

    3. Let music swell the breeze, and ring from all the trees sweet freedom's song; let mortal tongues awake; let all that breathe partake; let rocks their silence break, the sound prolong.

    4. Our fathers' God, to thee, author of liberty, to thee we sing; long may our land be bright with freedom's holy light; protect us by thy might, great God, our King.
